The rate of stability of the knees that have been reconstructed with a double-looped hamstring graft in a study presented by Stephen M. Howell, M.D. matched the rate of stability reported in two studies and exceeded that reported in five studies in which an autogenous patellar ligament graft was used. The operation involves two principles that may be important to its success. In this industry submission, Dr. Howell demonstrates his technique for when intensive rehabilitation of the knee without a brace and a return to sports or work activities four months after the operation are desired.
