More than ten years ago, Chadwick C. Prodromos, M.D., from Illinois, developed a mini-incision posterior approach to harvest the hamstring tendons for ACL reconstruction. This approach reduces time, increases safety, decreases potential complications and provides excellent cosmesis. In his long term follow-up study, Dr. Prodromos found no instances of graft harvest complications nor any instances of grafts which were cut too short.
