Resection and Repair of ECRB Tendon for Tennis Elbow: Superior to Tendon Slide Procedure

Robert P. Nirschl, M.D.

Material Covered:

The traditional tennis elbow procedure is a tendon slide operation. However, Dr. Nirschl and his colleagues demonstrate that newer techniques more accurately address the problem pathology.

Dr. Nirschl profiles steps in which the extensor carpi radialis brevis tendon is excised. He discusses pathological changes in the tendon that are responsible for pain and demonstrates techniques to stimulate new, healthy tissue growth. Both lateral and medial elbow cases are shown.
